Sony Named Top U.S. Brand
CE Products Make Up Half Of Top U.S. Brands
For the seventh year in a row, the Harris Poll has found that U.S. consumers rank Sony as the nation's top brand. Dell remained the No. 2 brand, according to a news release from market-research firm Harris Interactive, followed by Coca-Cola.
According to Reuters, the poll surveyed 2,351 U.S. adults between June 7 and 13. Respondents were asked to name the three brands they considered the best.
The list included five electronics products, three automobile manufacturers and two packaged goods.The top 10 brands, according to the Harris survey:
- Sony
- Dell
- Coca-Cola
- Toyota
- Ford
- Honda
- Hewlett Packard
- General Electric
- Kraft Foods
- Apple
The biggest movers on the list include Kraft Foods, which dropped from No. 3 in 2005 to No. 9, and Toyota which leaped into the No. 4 position from the 10 spot last year.
